APPLICATIONS

Salicylic Acid, CAS: 69-72-7, functions as a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) exfoliant, helping to dissolve excess sebum, dead skin cells, and other debris, and therefore, improve skin texture, unclog pores, and reduce acne appearance. Salicylic Acid is also an anti-inflammatory and is often used in products designed to treat psoriasis and dandruff.
Sodium Salicylate, CAS: 54-21-7, can inhibit the growth of bacteria and microorganisms and is sometimes used as a preservative in cosmetic formulations.
