Wego is a global supplier of Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC)
Wego Chemical Group is a leading global supplier and distributor of nonionic cellulose ethers such as Polyanionic Cellulose. Polyanionic Cellulose can be found under CAS # 9004-34-6. It has a polymer with white powder appearance; its water solution is transparent and viscous. It has the molecluar formula [C6H7O2(OH)2CH2COONa]n, and is often more simply referred to by its acronym, PAC.
PAC's primary use is as an additive to water-based drilling fluids, most notably, in the industry of oil field services. Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a technique used to extract natural gas and oil trapped within underground shale rock. Fracking is done through the injection of water-based fluids that fracture the shale rock, allowing its contents to flow out. PAC has a variety of functions as a drilling fluid additive. It can be used as a thickening agent to increase viscosity of liquid substances, stabilizer of the flow of liquids or gases, bond, suspending agent, filtrate reducer, or a colloid protector. It can also aid in blending well substances. It stabilizes viscosity, helping maintenance and cleanliness of drilling holes, as well as stabilizing suspension properties to adapt across variable environments.
It is typically used in very high levels of purity, and is quick to dissolve in water of wide temperature range. It is highly resistant to concentrated pH levels and salt content. These properties makes it suitable as an additive to completion fluids.
Other usages of Polyanionic Cellulose include applications in the mining of salts and metals.
As a leading supplier and distributor, Wego provides efficient and reliable logistics management, handling, stocking, and delivery of chemical products like Polyanionic Cellulose, and can offer shipments in multiple packing sizes. Please contact Wego or request a quote or sample of PAC today.
